Nozomi Networks expands partnership with Mandiant to strengthen industrial and enterprise security
Industrial cybersecurity firm Nozomi Networks Inc. today announced an expanded partnership with Google LLC’s Mandiant to strengthen and streamline the way industrial and enterprise security teams anticipate, diagnose and respond to cyberthreats.
Through the extended partnership, Google Security Operations and Nozomi Networks customers will now have the option to combine Mandiant threat intelligence and incident response with Nozomi Networks threat intelligence. That will enable customers to gain access to real-time information about threats to IT, operation technology and internet of things systems.
“This latest expansion [of our partnership] is another critical step in our journey to combine threat intelligence sources and defenses for the best possible security outcomes for the world’s critical infrastructure,” said Melissa Smith, head of strategy and technology partnerships at Google Cloud. “By blending Mandiant’s threat intelligence and expertise with Nozomi Networks’ OT threat intelligence and tools, we can enable critical infrastructure organizations to enhance their threat intelligence and investigations for a stronger defense.”
Along with allowing Nozomi Networks and Google Security Operations customers to gain access to real-time information, the expanded partnership extends Nozomi Networks’ OT and IoT threat intelligence by giving organizations a deeper understanding of the coinciding IT threat landscape. Doing so makes it possible to monitor and respond to all emerging threats to deliver the strongest possible security outcomes enterprise-wide.
The expanded partnership also sees Mandiant broadening its use of Nozomi Network sensors by enabling the capability to hunt for malicious activity and indication of compromise within IT systems that directly support OT, industrial IoT and IoT.
In addition, by the end of the year, Nozomi Network customers will be able to add Mandiant Assist to the Nozomi Networks platform for push-button access to Mandiant incident response services.
Nozomi Networks is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $266 million in funding, according to Tracxn, including a round of $100 million in March. Investors in the company include Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Schneider Electric SE, Triangle Peak Partners LP, forward.investments, In-Q-Tel Inc. and Porsche Ventures GmbH.
